The trainer feeds the puppy on the floor to keep him from jumping up.
In her book, "Scardey Dog," Author Ali Brown writes: "dogs migrate to the spot of reinforcement." Feeding the puppy down low and ensuring the pup keeps all four feet on the flour will ensure that "four on the floor" becomes a habit when greeting people.
Although we really like the first 3 minutes, I do have some issues with the last half of the video. More on that in my next post.
